Ormig was founded in 1949 by Guido Testore who understood that Italian post-war activities were going to need several equipment; the “crane”, already known in the USA but almost unknown in Europe, could become a large spreading vehicle.
Just a few skilled technicians were able to change the workforce, mainly of agrarian type, into high specialized mechanics capable of manufacturing a product which was a boast of the Italian industry and exported all over the world.
Ormig, like most of the Italian industries of post-war, have come out from the fantasy and courage of a man of genius and have grown thanks to the care of many men who believed in the country revival after the world conflict and have worked together for what is universally known as the “Italian miracle”.
